GBK Styles Athletes and Actors Alike at Their Annual Gift Lounge Honoring the ESPY Awards’ Nominees and Presenters

After the sun went down, a private poker tournament played out in the lounge area with a small group of guys, raising $6,000 from only 12 players coming out to support the cause. ABC News covered the festivities, as players included Mekhi Phifer, Roger Cross, Shawn Toub, Dan Fleyshman, and many other poker professionals. An amateur player, Tracey Szymanski, took down all the pros in the end. The beneficiary for the poker tournament was Falcons Youth and Family Services, whose mission is to empower underprivileged and underserved youth to excel in life through: educational services, health/nutritional awareness, physical activities, social responsibility, cultural appreciation and long term mentoring. Three other charities participated in the Celebrity Gift Lounge as well. The Model Citizen Fund, which distributes life-sustaining backpacks filled with 150 items that include food, health, and survival essentials to the homeless and disaster victims, giving them the tools and confidence to build/rebuild their lives.
