Third "Chef Series" Event at Leiberts Royal Green Appliance in White Plains, New York with All Proceeds to Benefit The Food Bank of Westchester
White Plains, New York (PRWEB) October 03, 2015 -- Leiberts Royal Green Appliance Center and Love Hospitality Group invite area residents to “Give Thanks + Give Back” hosted by food writer and radio personality “IntoxiKate” Kate Schlientz.
Leiberts Royal Green Appliance Center teams up with local food writer Kate Schlientz (IntoxiKate.com) to present its third Chef Series: “Give Thanks + Give Back.” The event takes place Thursday, October 23rd, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. featuring locally-sourced and seasonally driven Thanksgiving-themed dishes created by Chef Leslie Lampert of Love Hospitality Group (Café of Love, Ladle of Love, ad Love on the Run). Menu items include harvest celebration soup shots, turkey sausage stuffing, and sautéed wild mushrooms.
To round out the holiday table, the event also features wine pairings from Vino 100 (White Plains) and cooking demonstrations on Viking’s new, beautiful Tuscany line of ranges. Westchester and Fairfield’s own radio personality and food writer Kate Schlientz plays host to the event, simulcasting a special broadcast of Fork This with IntoxiKate on 1490 WGCH radio.
Those who attend the event have the chance to win gift cards, dinner for four at Empire City Casino’s trackside restaurant, and a new grill from Viking ($1,100 value) through raffles and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit The Food Bank of Westchester.
“We are grateful for the tremendous support of Leiberts Royal Green Appliance Center and IntoxiKate,” said Naomi Giges-Downey, Vice President of Fund Development at the Food Bank for Westchester. “While Thanksgiving is considered a joyous time, the holiday season can be tough for our 200,000 hungry neighbors in Westchester. We’re thrilled to take part in this final chef series of the season and appreciate the generous donations.”
Leiberts’ Chef Series features Westchester's top chefs teamed with first class appliances to provide event goers with an experience and lesson in the finer art of cooking and presentation.
"For the longest time we have been searching to create an event platform at Leiberts to match and rival our retail capabilities and it hasn’t been easy," said Stuart Royal, President of Leiberts Royal Green. "But with the emergence of Kate and her show "Fork This with IntoxiKate" to host the series, and the ability to collaborate with industry professionals like Westchester’s Top Chefs, the platform came together organically and in my experience that’s the best way for it to evolve."
