Joshua Tanner, CCM Elected President of The Golden State Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America
(PRWEB) October 22, 2015 -- Joshua Tanner, CCM, General Manager / Chief Operating Officer of Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert, California has been elected President of The Golden State Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA). The announcement was made at The Golden State Chapter Annual Fall Conference in Las Vegas, which was held October 11 – 13, 2015.
CMAA is the professional association for managers of the world’s leading clubs. The organization has more than 6,000 members and 46 chapters all over the globe, spanning the entire United States as well as Canada, South America, Australia, Europe and as far as South Africa. In 2008, the four California Chapters of CMAA merged into The Golden State Chapter.
Josh is a Certified Club Manager and has served as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Ironwood Country Club since 2010. Previously, he held the position of General Manager at Mission Hills Country Club, Rancho Mirage, California; Braemar Country Club, Tarzana, California; and Wood Ranch Golf Club, Simi Valley, California. As a native Californian and 19 year Club professional, Josh is excited to serve as President of The Golden State Chapter.
Josh and his wife Valerie live in Rancho Mirage, California with their daughter Kyra.
His theme for this year is “Let’s Get Engaged”. Josh says, “I am honored to be able to serve The Golden State Chapter of CMAA this coming year as President. I look forward to following the foundation laid out by the talented visionaries that have preceded me.”
