The Village at Rockville Ranks Second in Montgomery County and Third in the State of Maryland
(PRWEB) October 30, 2015 -- The Village at Rockville—A National Lutheran Community (TVAR) in Rockville, Md., formerly known as The National Lutheran Home, ranks number three in the state of Maryland out of 205 senior care providers, and number two out of 32 providers in Montgomery County.
“Each year we have risen in our state scores and are incredibly proud to be listed as third in the State of Maryland and second in Montgomery County,” Executive Director Jason Gottschalk said. “This achievement would not be possible without the dedication and drive of all our staff. We are grateful to receive this recognition.”
According to the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s (DHMH) Office of Health Care Quality, the Pay for Performance (P4P) rankings assesses several criteria. Those quality measures include data from other surveys, weighted as a percentage of the P4P overall composite score.
The Maryland Health Care Commission Family Satisfaction Survey comprises 40 percent, along with staffing levels and staff stability accounting for another 40 percent; Minimum Data Set (MDS) Quality Indicators are 16 percent and employing an infection control professional and staff immunizations account for two percent each.
The P4P program was created from the Maryland Senate Bill 101 in 2007 that authorized DHMH to initiate assessments on certain continuing care retirement communities and facilities in Maryland, based on non-Medicare patient days of service, in order to provide reimbursement cuts to those communities/facilities in the Medicaid program.
