Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, (ADCS Clinics) Announces the Acquisition of Greater Washington Dermatology/Capital Dermatology
Maitland, Florida (PRWEB) January 05, 2016 -- ADCS Clinics (“ADCS”) announced it has completed the acquisition of Greater Washington Dermatology/Capital Dermatology in Annapolis, Bethesda, Olney and Rockville, Maryland; a dermatology practice owned by Dr. Jay M. Barnett, M.D., a board certified dermatologist.
Dr. Barnett graduated magna cum laude from Boston University College of Liberal Arts, and he received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. There he trained at The Boston City Hospital and University Hospital.
After completing a three-year internal medicine residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, he completed a three-year residency in dermatology at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He became board certified in both Internal Medicine and Dermatology.
Dr. Barnett conducts research and publishes. Some of his articles have appeared in The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, The International Journal of Dermatology, Dermatology Clinics, and The Annals of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Laser Surgery and Medicine, and is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Health Sciences at George Washington University. Locally he is on staff at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital; and Montgomery General Hospital, where he has served as the Section Chairman of Dermatology. He is a member of the DC Dermatology Society, and a member of the Montgomery County Medical Society, where he has served as a committee chair and a member of the executive board. Dr. Barnett has been named as one of the area’s top doctors in both Washington Consumer Checkbook Magazine and The Washingtonian Magazine.
