Halo Country LLC Completes Acquisition of 90 Year Old Michigan Icon, Halo Burger
Flint, Michigan (PRWEB) January 15, 2016 -- Halo Country LLC, a Michigan-based company, today announced its acquisition of Michigan’s home-grown Halo Burger Restaurant chain – a 15 location fast-food burger restaurant that has been serving the Flint area (and the state of Michigan at large) fresh, never-frozen hamburgers since 1923.
“It’s been a pleasure working with Dortch Enterprises to complete this transaction,” said Chance Richie, CEO of Halo Country, LLC. “Lou Dortch Sr. and his entire team run a first-class organization, and we are very excited about the opportunity we have with Halo Burger. We are very proud of the history of the Halo Burger brand and what it means to southeast Michigan, especially Genesee County, and we think our customers will be excited about the improvements we plan on making to our existing locations.”
Currently, Halo Burger has fifteen locations total; six in Flint, two in Grand Blanc and one each in Burton, Mt. Morris, Fenton, Birch Run, Brighton, Novi and East Lansing.
Today, with the immediate official transfer, Richie and Halo Country are eager for the chance to combine Halo Burger’s rich local history with the latest innovations in the restaurant industry. Focuses include the introduction of new technology, the highest standards of speed and service, a commitment to the Michigan community and ingredients that deliver on Halo Burger’s fresh and never frozen promise to each guest.
The entire team is eager to begin the transformation. Jim Sutherland, Halo Burger’s Director of Operations, adds, “The existing management team and staff are excited to be working with the Halo Country team. During the transaction, Chance and his family have really engaged existing management and demonstrated a commitment to Halo’s employees and the Halo Burger brand.”
For Richie, Halo Country, and the new Halo Burger, business begins at the heart, with an unwavering sense of purpose. His enthusiasm is for a better Michigan burger concept that can be seen in all elements of the company, especially as it relates to employee and customer engagement. “Together, we’re refocusing on the principles that have made Halo Burger a local favorite for 93 years,” Richie adds. “Halo Burger will continue to serve the famous Boston Coolers, Olive Burgers and QP Burgers that keep people coming back every time they are in the area.”
