Stay-At-Home Mom Seeks Kickstarter Success With Patented iPops Charms Accessory for Wearable Technology
Vermillion, MN (PRWEB) March 14, 2016 -- With more than 8 million Fitbit devices and Apple Watches sold in the last year alone, wearable technology is now a mainstay accessory in the United States, combining both fashion and consumer electronics into one. So when stay-at-home mom Lucy Simones decided her own Apple Watch needed an upgraded look last June, she turned to the charm bracelets she could no longer wear alongside her watch for inspiration. With no previous entrepreneurship or design experience, Simones invented iPops, the first patented miniature charm accessory designed to fit into the adjustment wristband of FitBit and Apple Watch.
Now available on Kickstarter, Simones seeks to capitalize on the upward wearable technology trend by offering more than 130 charm combinations to users that reflect hobbies, families, favorite sports and even pets, to adorn their FitBit, Apple Watch or any watch with an adjustable wristband. The charms come in packs of single, double or triple sets of charms that snap easily into the adjustment holes of a user's watch or FitBit, and are made of high quality zinc alloy.
"I myself rely on my Apple Watch to track my blood sugar levels for diabetes, so not wearing my watch isn't an option for me, leaving my favorite bracelets left in a jewelry box," said Simones. "I wanted to create a product that allowed users to reflect their personality and easily upgrade the look of their FitBit or Apple Watch without having to switch to a new, costly wristband."
With less than ten days to go on Kickstarter, iPops are available for pre-order at thirty percent off retail price, starting at $3 per charm. Visit the iPops Kickstarter page for more information.
