Eastern Foundry Member Chosen To Advise DHS & U.S. Senate
Crystal City, Virginia (PRWEB) May 23, 2016 -- The month of May has been a whirlwind for one of Eastern Foundry’s original members, Amina Elgouacem of NEOSTEK. Amina has consistently led her company to great success, and community members, as well as industry professionals, have begun to take notice.
“The Eastern Foundry team is excited by all of Amina’s recent accomplishments,” said Geoff Orazem, Managing Partner of Eastern Foundry. “We strive to move our members forward in their careers, and to see Amina accomplish so much in such a short period of time is a testament to herself and her business.”
As the CEO of an Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business, Amina is uniquely positioned to provide insight into the federal procurement process. That is why she has been selected to serve on a panel during the Department of Homeland Security’s Reverse Industry Day entitled Demystification of the Private Sector. Meant to outline the different size companies working with DHS, and what drives their involvement with the agency, Amina will be discussing various challenges alongside representatives from VMWare, BAH, and Dell Federal.
Additionally, Amina was selected to serve a two-year term on the Leadership Advisory Council of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP). The council assists WIPP by providing guidance on policy and programming, promoting WIPP to expand its network of women business owners, and participates in WIPP activities in the area. Amina will participate on their procurement issues committee and will have the opportunity to provide input to policy makers as well as testify in front of the U.S. Senate on small business issues.
Finally, Amina was selected as a winner of the 2016 Washington Brava Awards by SmartCEO, a program which recognizes high-impact female business leaders who combine their entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community. She will be recognized with the other recipients on July 7th at the Hyatt Crystal City.
