Mag Instrument, Inc. Announces Addition of Two Key Executives
Ontario, CA. (PRWEB) June 01, 2016 -- Mag Instrument, Inc., the maker of Maglite® flashlights, announces two key additions to its leadership team. Malissa Peace has been named chief marketing officer, and Brent Flaharty joins the iconic U.S. manufacturing company as chief revenue officer. Both have demonstrated significant abilities to instill high levels of sustainable growth to the organizations they have served.
“I am pleased to welcome Malissa and Brent to the Maglite team,” said Tony Maglica, founder, president and CEO of Mag Instrument. “These exceptional executives have the expertise, experience and enthusiasm we need to bring our high-performance illumination products to a new generation.”
The company created its classic flashlight in 1979. Today its line of high-definition portable lighting is trusted by military and public safety personnel, professionals, consumers and outdoor enthusiasts worldwide. “We recognize the need to continually innovate not just our products, but our organizational structure and market approach, to assure sustained customer satisfaction and success. I am confident the addition of Brent and Malissa can help us do just that,” Maglica added.
Peace has more than 25 years of marketing experience including strategy and brand development, advertising, lead generation, customer experience design, media and creative development. As chief marketing officer at Mag Instrument, she will apply her experience with Home Depot and other high profile retailers and service organizations—as well as companies in the payments industry— to help the company strengthen its leadership position in the global portable lighting market.
Flaharty brings more than 20 years of sales, marketing and general management experience to Mag Instrument, including sales leadership across multiple segments, business development, product, brand and channel marketing and organizational development. He’s held senior positions in the consumer goods and manufacturing industries, including at Stanley Black & Decker and Masonite. As chief revenue officer at Mag Instrument, Flaharty’s focus is driving sales within current channels as well as expanding into new markets.
Peace and Flaharty join existing executive team members Maglica and Jim Zecchini. Zecchini, who’s been with the company since 1983, serves as chief operating officer / chief financial officer, managing finance and operations for the Los Angeles-area-based manufacturer.
Newly named CMO Peace said, “I look forward to working with Brent, Tony, Jim and the entire Mag team to build on the strength of the Maglite brand, open new markets, grow our business and positively impact the company’s financial performance.”
Flaharty, Mag Instrument’s new CRO, commented, “Maglite’s long history, commitment to American manufacturing and reputation for quality position us to address evolving customer needs, and achieve new levels of success.”
