Scissor Hands Slashes Complex Cut Programming at FSI Orleans
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 15, 2016 -- Exhibiting at the 2016 Vendor Show put on by Franchise Services Inc. (FSI), Scissor Hands will demonstrate its bindery automation. Taking place at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans on July 22, the annual trade show draws franchise owners and decision makers from the printing, signs and marketing technologies industries.
Winner of the 2015 Must See ‘Ems Award at GRAPH EXPO 15, Scissor Hands has carved out its place as a leading innovation in cutting edge automation. Using a unique algorithm, the enhanced JDF automation loads a customized cut program that optimizes guillotine cutting among several different print jobs to maximize production.
Onscreen animations allow printers to decrease training time for cutter operators and increase uptime and throughput in the bindery. The automated programming eliminates complex manual calculations and reduces product handling.
“Scissor Hands’ bindery automation can reduce cutting times by up to 60 percent as compared to manual programming,” said Chad Fugate, sales manager, Scissor Hands.
Able to integrate with most cutters with a motorized back gauge including Ideal, Triumph, Challenge, Polar and Itoh, the program can track the cutter operator’s jobs, start and end times, and blade drops. Scissor Hands creates the most efficient cut sequencing and recommends the best boxing solution as well as prints shipping labels for finished jobs.
At the close of the show, Scissor Hands will be auctioning a Triumph 5255 Guillotine Cutter from Ideal/MBM, a U.S. distributor, as a trade show special bargain. The compact digital paper cutter is ideal for small print shops and franchises that print larger format pieces. The auction will take place during the final hour at booth 514.
