Mentair Group Conducts Safety Management Auditor Training
Pheonix, Arizona (PRWEB) September 01, 2016 -- Instructor Sharon Grey has been providing auditor training to address a growing need for companies like PenAir, an FAA Part 121 operator and Jet Linx, a Part 135 operator to provide professional auditor training to their employees. Mentair Group’s auditor course is designed to support an organization’s initiatives to audit their policies, procedures and practices that serve as the foundation for their safety and quality programs. Ms Grey stated, "A well designed audit program and professionally trained auditors helps ensure regulatory compliance is maintained and safety is being monitored on a routine basis". The success of a Safety Management System (SMS) and a continuous improvement process correlates to well-trained auditors and a solid audit program.
The auditing class is also one of the courses required by the International Society of Safety Professionals for their newest certifications, the “Certified Registered Safety Professional”. The CRSP which was just launched in July of this year is designed to be a recognizable measure of professionalism and accomplishment that employers, regulators, customers and other organizational stakeholders will value in evaluating the capabilities of safety professionals. The CRSP certification is built on an industry best-practice model reflecting the attributes, competencies and experience necessary to standout in the field as a safety professional. The certification is backed by the standards, verification and testing provided by the International Society of Safety Professionals (ISSP).
Jet Linx is a private jet company with headquarters in Omaha Nebraska. The business model focuses on a local operation rather than a national operation. They provide customers with a local private terminal, local client service team and local planes and pilots. Jet Linx currently offers fourteen operational bases located nationwide.
PenAir is a regional carrier privately/family owned, and one of the oldest family owned airlines in the U.S. It is headquartered in Anchorage Alaska with hubs in Anchorage, Boston, Portland and Denver to 27 destinations. The carrier is one of the largest Saab 340 aircraft in the U.S. PenAir celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2015.
“Providing an on-site auditor training class to an operator’s Safety and Quality team allows me to engage with students one on one in their work environment with relevant examples to successfully manage and execute an audit program. It’s important that students leave the course with the necessary skills sets to confidently achieve those objectives”, said Sharon Grey. The course is offered through Mentair Group or the International Society of Safety Professionals (http://www.isspros.org).
