Park Cities Pet Sitter Announces that Richardson-based Take Me Home Pet Rescue Will Be the Recipient Charity Organization for Their 2017 Presents 4 Pets Pet Supply Drive
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 13, 2017 -- Dallas and Plano pet sitting company, Park Cities Pet Sitter, announced this week that Take Me Home Pet Rescue will be the recipient charity for their 2017 Presents 4 Pets pet supply donation drive. Presents 4 Pets is a national campaign sponsored by the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters that benefits the animal shelter and rescue communities and coincides with the Humane Society of the United States’ Animal Shelter Appreciation Week.
This will be the fifth consecutive year Park Cities Pet Sitter will participate in the national campaign, and the fifth time they will kick off the pet supply donation drive with a “Stuff the SUV” event. They have partnered with longtime animal shelter and rescue supporters, Sewell Infiniti of Dallas, who will donate the use of a brand new luxury Infiniti SUV for the event, which will be held on Saturday, September 30th from 11am-4pm. Park Cities Pet Sitter’s “Stuff the SUV” event will take place at the Pet Supplies Plus Store at 200 N. Coit Road in Richardson, where the pet sitting company’s employees and volunteers from Take Me Home Pet Rescue will be accepting both monetary donations and pet food, supplies and toys to benefit the rescue. In addition to educating store shoppers and donors about Take Me Home Pet Rescue’s activities, there will also be a pet adoption event occurring simultaneously for TMHPR.
Park Cities Pet Sitter’s President, Joette White, is especially excited to participate in Presents 4 Pets this year knowing how overburdened many of Texas’ pet rescues and shelters have been as of late due to Hurricane Harvey. “Many pet rescue groups around the state of Texas, including Take Me Home Pet Rescue, have assisted the SE Texas region by taking animals from that region and accepting them in their own rescues, or by taking additional animals from our local shelters so that these shelters could accept displaced animals from Hurricane Harvey,” said White. “This has truly been a case of Texans helping Texans, both the people and its animals. But we can’t ignore that there is a cost to these rescues for the work they are doing---and that is where we can help. We encourage all animal lovers out there to come to our Stuff the SUV event on Saturday, September 30th and donate whatever they are able to in order to show our support for the great work Take Me Home Pet Rescue is doing.”
Richardson-based Take Me Home Pet Rescue was founded in 2008 as a non-profit rescue organization committed to reducing the homeless pet population. All rescued dogs and cats in their care are sterilized, microchipped and given necessary medical care prior to being adopted out. Rescued pets under Take Me Home Pet Rescue’s care live in foster homes until they find their very own forever homes. TMHPR is a 501c3 organization and relies 100% on donations to fund their efforts.
