Formation of Argos Health Gives Healthcare Providers New RCM Outsourcing Option
ARLINGTON, Va. (PRWEB) November 03, 2017 -- NaviMed Capital, a Washington, DC-based private investment firm focused on the healthcare industry, announced the formation of Argos Health, Inc., a specialty revenue cycle management company serving hospitals, health systems, and physician groups. Argos Health focuses on managing and collecting complex claims from workers’ compensation, motor vehicle, and other third party liability insurers.
NaviMed has partnered with experienced executive Brent McCarty to form Argos Health, Inc.. Mr. McCarty, serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Argos, bringing more than 25 years as a senior executive in the healthcare industry. He previously served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Accuro Healthcare Solutions, Inc., a technology enabled revenue cycle solutions provider which grew rapidly during his tenure. Mr. McCarty has also held leadership roles in multiple healthcare provider organizations and has extensive experience partnering with hospitals, health systems and physician groups.
"As a key step in launching national service offerings, we have acquired two complex claims powerhouses," said Ryan Schwarz, Managing Director at NaviMed Capital. "With these platforms, Argos Health now offers healthcare providers the ability to outsource all of their complex claims to a single organization."
The first acquisition was CompMed Analysis, a workers’ compensation claims resolution organization that provides processing solutions for hospitals and healthcare systems based in Hudson, OH. Equipped with a complete understanding of workers’ compensation law and clinical care delivery, they are a leader in resolving workers’ compensation cases.
In addition, Argos Health has acquired Allgood Professional Services of Augusta, GA. Allgood specializes in motor vehicle accident and other third party liability claims, as well as a team dedicated to Veterans Affairs (VA) related accounts. Allgood also brings an expert legal arm to Argos Health, a strong strategic asset for clients in the highly complex claims management arena.
“We are thrilled to welcome both of these organizations to our team,” said Brent McCarty, Argos Health President and CEO. “We value the expertise both Allgood and CompMed bring to the table. Their team of dedicated employees has a proven track record of success.”
Both operational teams will remain intact so that clients will continue to receive the same excellent service while Argos Health works to further enhance their overall experience.
As the percentage of hospitals outsourcing complex claims continues to rise, Argos Health offers an umbrella solution to accurately resolve these challenging accounts while increasing reimbursement, recovering lost dollars and freeing up internal staff to focus on traditional claims & core competencies.
