New Product Unveiled for Kinesthetic Learners Allows Children to Move, Focus and Learn in School without Distraction
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (PRWEB) November 16, 2017 -- Mindful Mission LLC today announced the launch of an ingenious new product developed to foster a more productive classroom environment for kinesthetic learners. KINNEBAR™ is a portable, adjustable and quiet under-the-desk foot swing designed to improve learning, in-seat behavior, and time on task for elementary aged children who require movement in order to focus in school.
KINNEBAR™ is the brainchild of husband-and-wife inventors Jodi and Dan Whalen, who spent years first fruitlessly searching for and then inventing a tool to help their own high-energy son stay focused in school. What began as a series of prototypes made from rope, plastic, and metal eventually evolved into a patented, professionally engineered, sturdy, durable, student and teacher tested and approved learning tool.
Jodi Whalen states, "Asking young children with excessive energy to sit still and pay attention is a lot like asking a roomful of dogs to ignore the filet mignon simmering on the stove. Unless you keep them otherwise engaged, it’s not going to happen." Whalen further states that, "Many children, whether they simply crave a lot of movement or are special needs/exceptional kids, need to move in order to focus in school or while doing homework."
These children are known as “kinesthetic learners.” This product allows children to release energy throughout the school day without distracting teachers or peers. It is a lightweight, affordable and completely quiet under-the-desk foot swing designed to improve focus, in-seat behavior, and time on task.
Jennifer Zimmer is an Exceptional Children teacher. She shares, “KINNEBAR™ gives our students the movement they need at their desk while maintaining forward-facing and proper upright positioning of their torso. It is quiet and does not cause distractions for the students around them. I would recommend it to any home, family, or school as an option for students who need movement in their day in order to be academically focused and successful.”
