The National Center for Biblical Parenting Launches Thrive - A Revolutionary Program That Transforms the Hearts of Children and Families!
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (PRWEB) December 15, 2017 -- Struggling Young People Need Our Help
Crowdster to help NJ faith-based parenting advocates expand services
Our young people today are struggling. This may be the most challenging time in history for young people to grow up. The challenges are varied and daunting. Young people have access to all the information in the world right in their hands, but way too little help in knowing what to do with it all. Many are giving up under the pressure and the suicide rate among teenagers is growing at an alarming rate. Something must be done.
We must do more to help our young people navigate these treacherous waters.
Parents, grandparents, teachers, mentors, coaches and counselors all have opportunities to provide help. In many cases they just need good strategies and effective tools. The National Center for Biblical Parenting has been providing strategies and effective tools for more than 25 years. Through our new Thrive methodology, we can train the “helpers” to focus on character development in young people. Character is what enables young people to navigate these treacherous waters. Good character comes from a transformed heart. The Center wants to give millions of young people the incredible gift of a transformed heart. So the mission is simple: to move parents and other helpers from focusing on behavior alone and learning instead to "parent the heart."
One of the unique resources currently offered by the Center is Parent Coaching. The Center conducts rolling recruitment of new parent coaches. Center Director of Development Ed Miller explains,
“We have seen an overwhelming response to the Biblical Parent Coaching Program in 2017. We had 32 people from all over the world in the training last winter - 7 from outside the US and 14 receiving ministry scholarships. (thanks to donations.). These coaches are now seeing miracles happen in families around the world”
The Center’s leadership recently selected Crowdster’s online fundraising software – among many competitors – to help them reach their goals. Crowdster developed an all-inclusive campaign, including a dedicated customizable fundraising homepage, a targeted email marketing strategy, and analytics-driven social media marketing support.Crowdster is hard at work on the central task at hand: reaching the Center’s crowdfunding goal of $30,000. The organization has been successful in the past, raising over $13,000 in late 2016. In a statement from Crowdster CEO Joseph Ferraro, he remarks,
"My wife, Hannah, and I have the utmost respect and admiration for the work the Center is doing. As Christian parents to seven children, we know how valuable a faith-based approach can be to family and parenting relationships. It’s been our pleasure to get to know this local organization and have an opportunity to put our technological and fundraising expertise to good use!"
Crowdster’s tech savvy and fundraising expertise comes at a time of great need, as December is the Center’s most strategic month of the year! During these months, the Center builds a Year-End Campaign in order to prepare for the new year. This is when the community mobilizes and recruits advocates in the form of prayer warriors, champions, and donors. The Center is currently seeking donations in support of the Thrive Project being rolled out throughout 2018 and 2019. These funds will allow the Center to give struggling children the ultimate gift of a strong character through a transformed heart. And a transformed heart is a heart that is ready to follow God and to help transform the world.

About The National Center for Biblical Parenting
The National Center for Biblical Parenting was birthed in the early 90s in the hearts of Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN, BSN. Their families worked together in church ministry, but it became clear that they had a powerful message that reached the hearts of families. Although they had no idea how big the ministry would develop, they knew that their heart-based, practical, biblical approach was strategic for helping Christian families reach their full potential. Now with over 150 trained presenters, four video training programs for churches, and fifteen books they have co-authored on parenting, Dr. Turansky and Mrs. Miller lead a powerful ministry for churches and for individual families.
