Vanner Inc. Announces Senior Electrification Engineer for Vehicle System Integration Team
(PRWEB) January 29, 2018 -- Peter (Pete) Duffy, a leading industry contributor in the transit and electrification markets, assumed the role of Senior Electrification Engineer at Vanner Inc.. This follows a long career with Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) headquartered in Philadelphia. SEPTA operates one of the largest and most diversified transit fleets, at nearly 2,500 vehicles, with a majority of advanced diesel electric hybrid as the primary motive power force.
Pete had a long and successful 36-year career at SEPTA. While at SEPTA, he developed the technical and commercial requirements for their buses. In his new role as Senior Electrification Engineer at Vanner Inc., Pete will be responsible for technical support to Vanner’s Vehicle System Integration Team. His responsibilities will also include technical selling and market development of Vanner’s total accessory electrification, which includes Project Independence. Independence totally electrifies the accessories on clean-diesel, CNG buses and motor coaches.
"I look forward to a great experience as part of the Vanner Team. As a past end user, I was always impressed by Vanner's products from the economy, improved reliability and performance which they provide. However, what has impressed me the most are the people at Vanner. Their commitment to all customers assures a quality outcome for vehicle equipment suppliers, transit fleet operators and their customers," said Pete Duffy.
