United Breast Cancer Foundation Featured in Complete 2018 NASCAR Season
HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (PRWEB) February 28, 2018 -- The United Breast Cancer Foundation's print Public Service Announcement (PSA), "Driving Out Breast Cancer," is proudly featured during the entire 2018 NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) season in both editions of the Official 2018 NASCAR Souvenir Anthem Publications. UBCF's print PSA includes a Call to Action requesting NASCAR fans to donate a vehicle in support of breast cancer patients and families, and features a patriotic image with educational facts about both male and female breast cancer. There are 2 editions of the Anthem Commemorative Souvenir Publication. The Anthem Annual is the "Yearbook" of the 2018 Monster Energy Cup Series NASCAR Races with additional coverage during the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series. The season spans 26 weeks, hosting 68 races, staring February 11 and concluding September 9. Approximately 4 million fans attended these races in 2017. UBCF’s print PSA is on page 117 directly opposite of the Feature Story: "Life after JR - The Next Generation Stars are ready to Guide NASCAR Through life After Dale Jr."
The Anthem Championship Edition is the Official NASCAR publication available at NASCAR events during the "Chase for the Cup" races, which are the final 10 races of the season to determine NASCAR's 2018 Crowned Monster Cup Series Champion. The “Chase for the Cup” begins September 16 and concludes with the final race of the season, the Ford EcoBoost 400, at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, November 18. In addition to hard copy distribution, over 5 million NASCAR fans will receive a link via email providing a free complete digital copy of the Anthem Annual and the Anthem Championship publications. Each edition of the 2018 Anthem will be promoted with Motor Racing Network, MRN, the Official Radio Network of NASCAR as well as the racelineonline.com - the longest running NASCAR show in the country.
UBCF's “Driving Out Breast Cancer” print PSA was also featured in the Official 2018 Daytona 500 60th Anniversary Commemorative Souvenir Race Day Program. UBCF’s print PSA is featured on page 129 opposite well known racers that have completed in the Daytona 500. The Daytona 500, considered the “Super Bowl of NASCAR”, is 200 laps and covers 500 miles. It's the first stock race of the year and kicked off the 2018 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series at the newly remodeled $400+ million track on February 18. Dale Earnhardt Jr. returned to the Daytona 500 as Grand Marshal for the 60th running of “The Great American Race.” The Official Daytona 500 60th Annual Commemorative Souvenir Race Day Program was available for purchase exclusively during the 10 days of Daytona events and Nationally in NASCAR markets as well as major newsstands, bookstores and retailers. Pass-along Readership is estimated to be 1 Million. This is a return to the Daytona 500 for UBCF. In 2016, UBCF’s video PSA, “Early Detection,” highlighting male breast cancer was featured on the Jumbo-Tron during the 3-day Daytona 500 weekend event.
2018 marks the 70th anniversary of NASCAR highlighting "Seven Decades of NASCAR" throughout the entire season. NASCAR’s 70th birthday was December 14, 2017. The first meeting that led to the creation of NASCAR occurred at the Streamline Hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida, on December 14, 1947. People have been attracted to the hard-packed sand of Florida’s Atlantic shore to race cars since the early 1900’s.
