Colavita/Bialetti Women’s Cycling Team Emerges with New Italian Brand Sponsorship in 2018
NEW YORK (PRWEB) March 06, 2018 -- Leading family-owned Italian extra virgin olive oil company Colavita (http://www.colavita.com), a long-time sponsor of professional and amateur USA cycling, and Bialetti (http://www.bialetti.com), the leading Italian cookware and coffee maker company best known for the original Moka Express, are proud to announce their joint partnership in support of Team Colavita/Bialetti (http://www.teamcolavita.com), the US women’s professional cycling program.
“Bialetti and Colavita have found the perfect fit together in this partnership,” says John Profaci, VP, Marketing of Colavita USA, and Team Colavita/Bialetti manager. “And we are very grateful that it allows us to continue our support of this sport that is so important to us and that we believe in so passionately. Team Colavita has been one of the longest-running women’s cycling programs in the country, and we put a lot of value into associating our brand with this healthy, community-driven activity. We are very excited that another quality Italian brand like Bialetti shares in our mission and has joined our cause to form Team Colavita/Bialetti.”
Brett Bradshaw, President of Bradshaw International, echoes Profaci’s sentiments. “We are very pleased to be directly involved in supporting women’s pro-cycling this year,” he says. “In Italy and throughout Europe, cycling is such a hugely popular sport, it’s a point of great pride that our sponsorship supports these women athletes and increases enthusiasm for professional cycling in the US.”
Colavita has been a visible sponsor of both men’s and women’s cycling teams since 2003. Over the years, Colavita’s support helped to propel numerous athletes on to become National Champions, World Champions, and Olympic competitors. Colavita’s involvement in cycling also reaches into the charitable sphere with Colavita Cares, a community outreach program inspired by Colavita’s long-time support of the world of cycling and promotion of nutritious eating and exercise as the best means to a healthy lifestyle. Bialetti will also join Colavita in this endeavor.
The primary mission of Colavita Cares is assisting charitable foundations to achieve their goals in fundraising to benefit children, individuals, and families affected by economic hardship, physical disability, emotional suffering, natural disaster, and social discrimination. Colavita and Bialetti will join forces to put on events in 2018 including:
- Best Buddies, which enhances the lives of those afflicted with intellectual disabilities, including an effort to teach children to appreciate the health benefits of cycling;
- Tour de Pink, a multi-charity bike ride raising money to support young women affected by breast cancer;
- NYC Pride Ride, which promotes healthy living through cycling to the LGBT community in NY and beyond.
Joining the sponsorship of Team Colavita/Bialetti in 2018 are two other Italian companies: Bianchi, the world’s oldest bicycle manufacturing company still in existence, and Vittoria, the world’s leading manufacturer of bicycle tires.
