PTV Vistro Adds Canadian Traffic Standards
Arlington, VA & Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 07, 2018 -- PTV Group, the largest provider of traffic analysis and modeling software in North America, announced that the Canadian Capacity Guide (CCG) has been added to their traffic analysis software PTV Vistro. A comprehensive software tool, PTV Vistro is used by traffic engineers and planners to analyze traffic operations, evaluate the impacts of new developments construction and optimize signal timings.
Backed by the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers (C.I.T.E.), adding CCG, which is the industry-standard capacity assessment methodology in Canada for traffic analysis, to PTV Vistro has made the software even more efficient for use by Canadian local and federal governments, as well as engineering consultants, for traffic analysis and planning.
“Integrating CCG into PTV Vistro 6 was a great collaboration between PTV Group and the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers, which resulted in adding an analysis method that is specific to the Canadian market, to our complete traffic analysis software. The joint team are all very happy with the result and PTV looks forward to serving our Canadian customers long into the future,” said Alastair Evanson, PTV Vistro Solution Director.
As well as CCG, PTV Vistro also offers several alternative analysis methods, including the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), which is the official roadway engineering standard used in the United States and around the world for traffic planning and design.
