SIG Innovation Accelerator Opens Next Cohort
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) July 17, 2018 -- The SIG Innovation Accelerator (SA), which empowers the leaders of major buy-side companies and providers of innovative products to create the future of Procurement, and SIG, the premier membership organization for sourcing, procurement and outsourcing executives, today announce the opening of the application period for SA’s second Accelerator (Accelerator II) cohort of emerging products based on advanced technologies. SA’s mission is to help Fortune 500 (F500) procurement leaders stay at the forefront by deploying new solutions that have the potential for extraordinary financial and risk management benefits. All categories of applicable products are encouraged to apply.
In conjunction with its Leadership Council, comprised of F500 procurement executives, SA will select four to six additional products for Accelerator II. These companies will present during SIG’s October 2018 Summit to procurement executives who have a high level of interest in innovative Source through Supply Chain products. Following October’s Summit, SA will work with selected companies to accelerate their access to SIG’s interested members, facilitate communications and advance the cycle for product refinement and potential sales.
Emerging products may be provided by younger to mid-stage companies that forecast at least $1 million in sales during the next year or by longer-established companies that are bringing a new product to market.
The products within SA’s initial Accelerator cohort—provided by FairMarkIT, Seal Software, Suplari and Tealbook—were announced in March 2018 to over 50 procurement executives, and are making considerable progress within the SIG community.
SIA is a partnership of Sourcing Industry Group (SIG) and Creatze, which provides a portfolio of innovation services and is led by Barry Wiegler, founder and former CEO of SIG. “The response to our first Accelerator event was overwhelming,” says Wiegler, President and CEO of the new SIG Innovation Accelerator. “We are excited to continue bringing SIG members innovation that help them capitalize on rapidly advancing technologies and their resulting products.”
