International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Announces Models and Actors of the Year
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 16, 2016 -- IMTA celebrated thirty years in New York with an amazing modeling and talent industry showcase. Fashion and commercial agents from around the world were at IMTA to network, scout, interview and most importantly to discover new faces. Talent agents, managers and casting directors were also in attendance to find actors, singers, songwriters and dancers to represent.
The week had so many highlights. Soul Artist Management hosted the Director's Invitational on location at their beautiful agency. At the Contestant Orientation, several IMTA Alumni returned to inspire the current Contestants. One of IMTA's former Contestants, top male model Dillon Westbrock (IMD International), spoke saying, "I did IMTA LA 2015 and it has changed my life immensely. I’ve done Calvin Klein campaigns. I’ve worked for Versace as well. You guys need to be excited. This whole week will change your life truly, absolutely."
Karen Lee of The Karen Lee Group and Susan Liebesman of B2B Management co-produced a gorgeous Designer Fashion Show with IMTA Contestants turned professional models walking in new collections from designers Rebecca Minkoff, Haiping Xie, and CC with jewelry from O'Pearl Brands.
At the IMTA New York Dance Party, the band Undecided Future performed and rocked the entire ballroom. Their band member Cole Fredrick (Barbizon SoCal) was IMTA's Songwriter of the Year from IMTA's January LA 2016 event. The Contestants also danced and received their individual competition awards.
The industry professionals and directors all gathered on callback day for the Scholarship Brunch. At the Scholarship Brunch, a record amount of six hundred and fifty-five thousand dollars in scholarships was awarded! The New York Film Academy awarded scholarships to 14 recipients. New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts awarded 14 scholarships. Beverly Long and Patrick Baca gave seven pilot season intensive workshops on behalf of Beverly Long Casting. Scholarships were also awarded from Clair Sinnett Actor's Working, Atlantic Acting School, and Cassiopeia Productions/M.P. Management. Beverly Long Casting/Superfri3nds awarded a song, fully produced, recorded and delivered for one of the IMTA Singing Contestants.
Callbacks were a major success for the models, actors, singers, songwriters, and dancers who met with the agents, managers, casting directors and industry VIP’s who were interested in representing them. Many new careers were started and we are excited to see what the newly discovered stars accomplish in the future. The Most Sought After Female Model received an astonishing 92 callbacks!
Designer Kerry Yu kicked off IMTA's Awards Night by recognizing IMTA CEO and President Nancy Mancuso saying, "Thirty years ago, she started to work for IMTA. She dedicated her life for IMTA. There are no words for me to describe how much I appreciate her and how much I admire her. Her dedication, her passion, her energy, and her talent is something I will remember forever."
IMTA VIP celebrity presenters included Mariah Strongin (IMD International), Josh Berresford (Pro Model & Talent Mgmt.), Taylor Greene (Diane Dick International Modeling), Caprice Cowan (Main Line Models) and many more who were on hand to congratulate this year's winners and award their trophies.
