New Fiction ‘Ever So Near’ Encourages Personal Growth, Dreams
The Villages, Fla. (PRWEB) May 18, 2014 -- An aspiring screen actress and filmmaker named Georgeanne Chamberlain plots a move from small-town Indiana to big-city California in the new fiction by author Kay Westfield, “Ever So Near” (published by Abbott Press). But when Georgeanne decides to leave home, she quickly encounters family and relationship problems that could spell the end of her dreams.
Georgeanne aspires to leave her home in Fort Wayne, Ind., to attend an acting school in Hollywood, Calif. But when she finds out her mother is against the move, Georgeanne settles for a sensible alternative – attending Indiana University.
While in college, Georgeanne experiences challenges she never expected. Her desired roommate, Sandy – a lifelong friend she knew from St. Patrick’s grade school in Fort Wayne, Ind. – finds herself struggling with the possible consequences of an unexpected pregnancy.
To add to Georgeanne’s inner turmoil, her childhood love, Tony DeMarco, attends University of Notre Dame and sets the stage for a stressful, long-distance relationship. As Tony and Georgeanne try to maintain ties, Tony’s life plans change when he feels a calling to the priesthood that could alter his relationship with Georgeanne forever.
“Ever So Near” is an engaging and heartwarming coming-of-age tale that will inspire readers to follow their own paths in life, despite whatever obstacles life may bring.
