Father Will Be Jailed If He Doesn't Pay Convicted Murderer $40K Plus - A Fundraiser Has Been Launched on indiegogo.com
Storm Lake, IA (PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- The nightmare continues for Michael and his children, even though their mother is in prison for life without the possibility of parole. {REF: STATE OF IOWA VS. TRACEY ANN RICHTER 02811 FECR011900}
According to court documents in Iowa case CDCD002755, Michael may face jail for up to 6-Months if the Judge finds him in contempt of court over child support arrears The contempt trial is scheduled for October 18, 2013 and attorneys are trying to obtain a continuance while family and friends attempt to raise funds for the fight.
Recent court motions indicate that Michael has only been able to pay about $90,000.00 to Richter. Michael said “The expenses associated with the 8-year custody battle have left me almost $45,000.00 short”.
Judge Nancy Whittenburg, in a ruling that caused an international outrage according to the Associated Press on Sep 13, 2012, ordered that Michael still has to pay the killer, even though she is in prison for life and Michael has the kids. In response to Judge Whittenburg's ruling, Sac County Attorney Ben Smith told Associated Press "She should have lost any and all rights to make those kinds of decisions or to have an influence in her kids' lives when she executed somebody."

AN APPEAL FOR FINANCIAL HELP:
In the mean time, Michael's family and friends are appealing to the community to lend Michael the $40,000.00+ needed to pay the child support. However, this is being done in a manner that the murderer, Tracey Richter, will not receive a penny. The payment will be coordinated so that the funds will go directly to the family of the boy Tracey murdered, while clearing Michael's debt to the killer. According to court documents in the Dustin Wehde murder trial, Tracey Richter was court ordered to pay $100,000.00 in restitution. {02811 FECR011900 Iowa}
The children's family members in Australia said that “donations will help ease the anguish of the murder victim's family, who are ultimately the beneficiaries of ALL donations received”.
