AMG Design Studio, Creative Design, Announces its Reception of Seven Awards in Graphic Design USA's Web Design and InHouse Competitions
(PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- Association Management Group (AMG), a provider of staffing and management solutions for nonprofits of all sizes, proudly announced the success of their design studio, Creative Design, in a recent article published on the company website. Graphic Design USA has been organizing design competitions for 50 years, providing creative professionals with a platform to showcase their work and receive recognition from the rest of the creative community. Teresa Gutsick, director of AMG's design department, commented on Creative Design's performance in the competitions, "This is a significant achievement for Creative Design,” she said, and went on to attribute the results to "hard work and the great creative partnerships that we have with our clients and their staff members."
There were over 1,400 entries to the 2013 Graphic Design USA American Web Design Award competition. AMG received awards for "AHAA Annual Conference Website Redesign (Mobile Responsive Website)", "NICSA Annual Conference & Expo Website Design", and "UE Systems Website Redesign". Winning the awards put AMG in a small group of selected winners that included creative leaders such as United Airlines, Microsoft, Johns Hopkins University, Intel, Habitat for Humanity, Dell, Agfa and Adobe.
The Graphic Design USA 2013 InHouse Design Award competition saw over 4,000 entries, only 15 percent of which received recognition for excellence. Awards went to AMG for "AAA 2013 Annual Conference Collateral", "AAA 2013 Stars of Life Website", "NAA MeetUps Logo Series", and "NAFO 2012 Annual Report". Other recipients of the InHouse Design Award included United Airlines, 3M, Lockheed Martin, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, American Bar Association, and AARP.
AMG's awards were won by Teresa Gutsick, AMG's Creative Director, and Derek Heilmann, AMG's Senior Graphic Designer. Teresa Gutsick's awards were backed by 20 years of graphic design experience, including 16 years working almost exclusively for nonprofit organizations, in which she produced brochures, newsletters, logos, directories, magazines and websites for over 80 organizations. She also holds a B.A. in Design from Virginia Tech. Derek Heilmann won his 2013 awards after 3 years working for AMG, as well as time spent designing for Liquidity Services Inc. and as a freelancer. Derek has designed websites, brochures and logos for small businesses and government agencies, and he holds a B.S. in Creative Advertising from the Virginia Commonwealth University.
The 2013 awards for AMG's in-house graphic design studio spanned across the categories of mobile, microsites, websites, intranet design, brochures, logos and annual reports.
