NEW YORK, Dec. 9, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Flybridge, a seed-stage venture capital firm for ambitious founders leveraging the power of community, today announced that Anna Palmer will be joining the fund as General Partner.
Anna joins the firm from XFactor Ventures and at Flybridge she will lead investments across the full range of B2C and B2B opportunities, with a specific interest in community-driven companies, commerce 3.0 (logistics, discovery, payments, social commerce), marketplaces, and the everyday economy.
Anna co-founded XFactor Ventures in partnership with Chip Hazard and the entire Flybridge team in 2017. XFactor is a pre-seed and seed-stage fund that invests in women-led companies pursuing billion-dollar market opportunities. Now investing out of its second fund, XFactor has 22 investment partners across six different cities and has made 57 investments, making it one of the most active pre-seed & seed-stage funds backing female founders. She will continue to run and support XFactor Ventures in her new role.
"I am excited to be joining the Flybridge team," said Anna Palmer. "Through XFactor, I've discovered a passion for helping founders at the early stages. I'm looking forward to using the skills I've developed as a founder of mapping trends, mentoring, and identifying opportunities to support entrepreneurs as they bring their vision to life."
Anna is a Harvard Law alumna with an impressive track record as a two-time Founder. She is currently the Executive Chairperson of Dough Collective, a company she co-founded in 2018, and prior was Co-Founder and CEO of Fashion Project, which was acquired in 2016.
Carolyn Childers, co-founder and CEO of Chief, the network for women executives, talks about Anna as an early investor in her company — "Anna was an early believer in Chief and our vision. As a former founder herself, she understands the journey and I know she's always there if I need intros, ideas or advice. We're fortunate to have her as an investor through XFactor Ventures. She'll be a great addition to the Flybridge team."
Having been on both sides of the table as founder and investor, Anna looks forward to using her investment lens to support founders and source game-changing companies with her partners at Flybridge.
"Having worked side-by-side in creating and building XFactor Ventures with Anna, together we have seen first hand the power of broadening our networks and deepening our expertise to invest behind outstanding founders transforming important markets. XFactor's success is due to the power of Anna's drive, creativity, and her ability to build community to galvanize change," said Chip Hazard, co-founder and General Partner with Flybridge. Continuing, Hazard added, "We have been equally impressed with the depth of Anna's intellect and curiosity, investment judgment, and how she supports founders, all of which will serve her well as she turns her focus to investing full time with the Flybridge team."
