As GCSE and A Level exam results come out, Thames Valley students have a Plan A through a higher apprenticeship from ATG Training
Aylesbury, Thames Valley (PRWEB UK) 19 August 2014 -- Traditionally university was a natural step towards reaching the pinnacle of most vocations, but times have changed and ATG Training’s Plan A campaign aimed at Thames Valley Students, highlights the viable alternative of an Apprenticeship for high achievers to realise their ambitions.
With the average university student debt reaching £44,000, it is little wonder that many school and college leavers are considering their options when they receive their exam results. Being employed and earning a wage as you attain qualifications (which can be of degree level and above), gaining valuable work experience, and having the opportunity to prove your value to an employer are just some of the advantages to apprenticeships over university. ATG Training, a registered charity based in Aylesbury, provides a diverse range of training from its purpose-built site to apprentices employed by some of Thames Valley’s most prestigious companies and is keen to promote the benefits of apprenticeships for high achieving students.
These outstanding opportunities, traditionally paying well above the basic apprenticeship wage, inspired ATG Training to launch ‘Plan A’, a campaign aimed at bringing high achieving young people together with high-profile employers to look at an apprenticeship as an alternative to university. “As exam results some out, now is the time to consider the alternatives,” says Ian Harper, Chief Executive of ATG Training. “These apprenticeships are aimed at high achievers with grades A* to C in core subjects and the long-term prospects are excellent. If you are a talented young person looking for a fantastic career opportunity and are ready to start full-time paid employment, then we want to hear from you.”
