Carpet One Floor & Home and Mohawk Join Together to Help America’s Bravest
Manchester, NH (PRWEB) November 18, 2013 -- Carpet One Floor & Home and flooring manufacture partner Mohawk are proud to announce a new partnership with Building for America’s Bravest. Building for America’s Bravest is a program of The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, in proud partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation, which was developed to build smart homes for catastrophically injured service members.
“At CCA Global Partners, we encourage charitable contributions and involvement from all our employees and businesses,” said Howard Brodsky, co-CEO of CCA Global Partners. “Carpet One’s involvement with Building for America’s Bravest gives our employees and our cooperative members the opportunity to help this inspiring organization in some way – from working hands-on with a project to helping raise funds and awareness.”
The Smart Homes built by Building for America’s Bravest are custom designed to fit the needs of each individual. The goal of each new home is to help severely injured heroes live better, more independent lives. The homes are designed to be energy efficient, automated and easily accessible.
“We’re so happy to have Carpet One Floor & Home and Mohawk on board for all our builds,” said Frank Siller from Tunnels to Towers Foundation. “Having appropriate flooring is so important in making these homes accessible and functional for our heroes.”
Carpet One Floor & Home and Mohawk will be providing flooring and installation for each smart home that Building for America’s Bravest builds. Currently there are 49 new homes schedule over the next 3 years. Carpet One Floor & Home and Mohawk are already working on the first home to be built as part of this partnership. The home will go to Sgt. Michael Nicholson in Tampa, FL. Two Florida Carpet One Floor & Home stores - Dove Interiors Carpet One Floor & Home and Hanover Floors Carpet One - will be participating hands-on by providing the flooring installation for Nicholson’s home.
“CCA Global Partners has a long history of supporting important causes and our members are very active in their local communities,” said Rick Bennet, co-CEO of CCA Global Partners. “It gives us pride to be partnering with such an inspiring organization. We and our members are looking forward to working with them to build these homes and build awareness.”
In addition to providing flooring for these homes, Carpet One Floor & Home and Mohawk will also be helping the organization through fundraising efforts and spreading the word through public relations and marketing efforts.
“We are excited to help this organization in any way we can,” said Bill Gaddis, VP of National Accounts for Mohawk. “Providing flooring that will make these heroes’ lives a little easier is just the beginning.”
