Amsterdam (PRWEB) August 03, 2013 -- High-Logic, the leader in providing font software, today announces FontCreator 7.5, the first font editor which supports scalable multi-color fonts.
Revealed at the Microsoft Build Developer Conference, Windows 8.1 comes with a revolutionary extension to the OpenType font standard, introducing multi-color fonts. The powerful technology uses scalable multi-layer glyphs.
Color fonts will go far beyond messaging software; expect to see color fonts within desktop publishing software, web sites, as part of user interfaces, logos, signs on maps, road signs, ancient scripts, manuscripts, calligraphy, and many more.
“Professional font designers need to embrace the new color font technology. High-Logic supports them with FontCreator 7.5, the world’s most popular font editor. The beauty of the color extension, is that the fonts will continue to work on any device and system that doesn't support the revolutionary color fonts. This makes the adaption of this new technology straightforward,” says Erwin Denissen, CEO of High-Logic.
FontCreator runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 (32/64 bit). You can design and export OpenType, TrueType and Web Open Font Format (WOFF) fonts which can be used on all platforms and mobile devices. Windows 8.1 will be the first platform supporting scalable color fonts and other platforms will follow soon.
