Jeffrey Lane Speaks at Mercer University School of Medicine
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) October 18, 2017 -- Medical credentialing expert, Jeffrey Lane, shared his insights on the topic of medical board licensing and compliance at a recent meeting with students of Mercer University’s medical school. The event, which is part of the school’s first year integration into course study, addressed a number of important issues related to compliance, regulations, reporting, and investigative processes.
Lane believes that knowledge of the Medical Board and its credentialing and investigative process is a key component of being prepared to practice medicine. “Safely and effectively treating patients in their care is the first priority for our healthcare providers, but there is also an important credentialing component to the practice of medicine,” said Lane. “There are skilled and dedicated professionals every year that find themselves in difficult positions before the Board that knowledge and preparation could have prevented. I give a lot of credit to Mercer for its commitment to ensuring its students have all the tools required to be successful in their careers, and I enjoyed my time with their entering class.”
It’s been a busy year for Lane. In addition to his presentation at Mercer, he spoke to the Emergency Medical Department at the Emory University School of Medicine in a session titled “Laws and Rules of the Georgia Medical Board.” Lane also published a book in late 2016 titled “Fundamentals of Medical Practice Investigation” which is available through CRC Press and on Amazon. The book is the first to be published on medical practice investigation and combines the knowledge necessary for a thorough investigation into one source.
