Andy Bayowski comes from an engineering and entrepreneurial background with the industry knowledge to successfully drive kW’s Strategy and Development business unit, which he has led since 2012. Andy is a passionate collaborator and loves learning about new technologies, techniques, and business models in the energy industry that enable positive sustainable impact at scale. Prior to joining kW, Andy worked in cleantech venture capital, technology transfer, and semiconductor manufacturing after studying Materials Science & Engineering, Engineering & Public Policy, and Business at Carnegie Mellon.
Sean Harleman oversees kW’s Utility Program Technical Services business unit. With 20 years in the energy efficiency industry and experience managing utility clients across the country, his technical experience and program management skills have been essential to kW’s success supporting utilities’ demand-side programs. Sean’s technical experience includes design assistance, audits, simulation modeling, field data collection, and measurement & verification. His project management experience includes the design, implementation, and evaluation of state-sponsored and utility energy efficiency programs. Sean is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering.
As the original employee of kW’s Long Beach office, which opened in 2004, Antonio Huizar oversees the Southern California Energy Services business unit. Antonio has been instrumental to kW’s growth in Southern California supporting clients such as Southern California Edison (SCE), Southern California Gas Company (SCG), San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), and the Regional Energy Network (SoCal REN). With over 13 years in the energy efficiency industry, Antonio’s experience includes measurement & verification, audits, field data collection, demand response, emerging technologies, commissioning, retro-commissioning (RCx), HVAC system design, and simulation modeling. Antonio is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Jonathan Schoenfeld grew kW’s Commissioning and Remote Energy Management services into its own business unit, which he now oversees. With over 11 years of experience in energy efficiency and mechanical systems, Jonathan has had a wide range of roles including auditor, retro-commissioning agent, owner’s engineer, and commissioning agent. His technical expertise in HVAC equipment and control systems is a great asset to kW. Jonathan is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
