55-minute audio book CD with photos, poster art and original music
Monterey, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWEB ) June 7, 2007 -- BeanBag1 Entertainment announces the North American release of "The 40th Anniversary Summer Of Love Oral Archive by Rock Scully" as an audio book CD available at Amazon.com and CDBaby.com. The 55-minute collector's edition recording is a spoken history with former Grateful Dead manager Scully revealing outrageous stories about the psychedelic Acid-Tests, the Love-Ins, the Who, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jerry Garcia. The package contains a 6-page booklet with a bonus two-side tray card that features a Stanley Mouse poster illustration suitable for framing, plus unreleased photos and original music composed and performed on guitar by Dane Edmondson. "The 40th Anniversary Summer Of Love Oral Archive by Rock Scully" audio book CD has been licensed for distribution in Europe by Voiceprint Records, where it is scheduled for a July 2 release.
"The Summer Of Love Oral Archive" is intended to pay homage to the idealistic views of the era while explaining the earthly realities at the time and the many influences still with us today. There is no profanity in the recording; however, Parental Guidance may be suggested for drug references in context with historical consequences. This archive recording was executive produced by Rock Scully and David Bean, who are also involved with the non-profit "40th Anniversary Summer of Love Concert" in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park scheduled for September 2, 2007.
Rock Scully is available for interviews and personal appearances. Mr. Scully is particularly qualified to discuss his involvement with The Summer Of Love, the Grateful Dead, the Monterey Pop Festival, The Who, the Rolling Stones and related topics. Please contact BeanBag1 for Rock's schedule. David Bean, a music industry veteran who has worked with Michael Nesmith (Monkees) and Jesse Colin Young (Youngbloods), among others, heads BeanBag1 Entertainment's Production and Licensing, located at 395 Del Monte Center #311, Monterey, CA 93940, and online at www.BeanBag1.com.
