National Association of Professional Women Inducts Lisa Baker, Regional Sales Manager at ColorProof Evolved Color Care, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 18, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Lisa Baker as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Lisa into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Lisa Baker has been inspired and mentored by a number of people, including teachers and salon owners, early in her more than 20-year career in the beauty industry. “My cosmetology teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Ryman-Haine, pushed me to do great things and another mentor, Donna Federechi, also drove me to be the best women possible in this industry,” she said. “Michael and Donna Miller, owners of MLM Salon Systems, hired me when I was 18, as an Educational Sales Manager for PA.”
When she was 20 years old, Ms. Baker won a trip to California and it was there that she met her current boss, industry leader Jim Markham, Founder/CEO of ColorProof Evolved Color Care, and his wife Cheryl. In her current role as Regional Sales Manager at ColorProof, Ms. Baker acts as a liaison between the company and distributors. “My key responsibilities are to build the business with the brand we represent through education and sales strategies to create rapid growth for success,” she said, adding that she uses her excellent communication skills to put in place a plan of action that leads to double-digit growth year after year.
“This is done by creating sincere relationships and inspiring those to do their best to succeed within their regions,” said Ms. Baker. She understands the needs of her clients and helps them achieve success through education and sales support. Ms. Baker’s job takes her around the globe and while it is demanding, she relishes how this has enabled her to see the world and meet “many wonderful people.”
A true entrepreneur, Ms. Baker is now in the process of establishing Love Life Live, a professional coaching business. Her goal is “to create a road map for those who need the inspiration and guidance to achieve their life’s mission.” And on a local level, she hopes to be an “inspiration for teenage children who don’t believe there is a life out there for them filled with success, enlightening experiences and joy... as I once did.” By the fall, she plans to offer classes and seminars via social media that focus on inspiring those starting out in the beauty industry, and teenagers, to help them “create great things for themselves and the community.”
