Diamondback Drugs Hires Seasoned Pharmaceutical Representative, Stephen De La Cruz, as Southern California Territory Manager

After graduating from UCSD, De La Cruz began his sales career with E&J Gallo Winery. From there, he moved on to a promising start in medical and pharmaceutical sales at Johnson & Johnson, garnering multiple sales awards, and scaling the national sales rankings.
At Schering Plough Corporation, Stephen was a sales leader in the Diabetes Specialty Division. He continued his trajectory of stellar sales and market growth with Bausch & Lomb Pharmaceuticals’ Ophthalmology division.
As Bristol Myers Squibb’s Senior Territory Business Manager, De La Cruz was known for his ability to expand market share and exceed his metrics. He received national recognition as winner of the “Red Hot Rep” contest, and was often ranked among the top representatives in the country.
During his tenure as a Therapeutic Specialist with Pfizer Inc.’s Animal Health Division, he was twice honored with the President’s Circle Award. His commitment to meeting or beating his sales goals consistently made him a top rep, and his sharp business acumen and contract negotiation skills made him quite effective in targeting new business growth opportunities.
In addition to his history of strong sales and experience in the pharmaceutical and veterinary industries, De La Cruz has received extensive training in a wide range of relevant specialties, including anesthesia, infectious disease management, and immunology. And as someone who has spent most of his life in Southern California, Mr. De La Cruz certainly knows his new territory like the back of his hand.
