Registration Closing Soon for the IARFC 2021 National Financial Plan Competition
The International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC®) encourages University Professors in a Financial Services Program to register their students for the National Financial Plan Competition (NFPC). Registration has been extended to October 8 with both the Participation Agreement and Team Assignments and Software Request forms turned in.
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio, Sept. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This Competition involves undergraduate teams who develop a financial plan for judging based on a fictional family case narrative. The narrative consists of numbers and family detail history that will be interpreted by the students and presented to a panel of judges. Three of the IARFC US Chapter Board of Directors – President Rick Stanzione, RFC®, Robert Miller, RFC® and Secretary Lemuel Kornegay, III, RFC® combined their many years of practice to develop this case scenario which will be sent out next month to those student teams who registered.
For those professors who wish to register their students, visit http://www.iarfc.org/events/nfpc for specific Rules and Details. The Participation Agreement and Team Assignments/Software Request forms must be received by October 8 for their University to compete. The Competition judging will be carried out through multiple phases with 3 teams eventually meeting in a Finals round next Spring.
The IARFC also is looking for Corporate Sponsors and Individual Donors who play a major role in the success of the Competition. "I have had the opportunity to interact with the students in this Competition," relates Barry Dayley, MRFC® from Money Concepts International - a past Corporate Sponsor of the Competition. "It's extremely important to the future of our industry to support these young people as they consider their careers in financial services. They are bright and compassionate individuals who will no doubt be successful in caring for their clients' financial well-being."
As the registration process is coming to a close, IARFC NFPC Coordinator, Vicki Caplinger encourages professors to send in their registrations now. "We are getting down to the wire for entries to meet the deadline. Don't miss out on an opportunity to be part of an event that challenges future consultants with an exercise in real world solutions for family financial issues."
