Tribal Leaders, Elected Officials, Civil Rights Leaders & Community Activists to Rally at Washington-Minnesota NFL Game in Support of Retiring the D.C. Team’s Racist Name
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) October 29, 2014 -- WHAT: A coalition of tribal nations, Native American organizations, and the University of Minnesota are hosting a rally to support retiring the Washington NFL team name and mascot. The rally will take place before the Minnesota-Washington NFL game on November 2.
WHO: Speakers include: Congresswoman Betty McCollum, Oneida Nation Representative Ray Halbritter, Navajo activist Amanda Blackhorse, and representatives from several Native American tribes and organizations across the country. A complete agenda and list of speakers is available here.
WHEN: Sunday, November 2, 10 a.m.-Noon
WHERE: South side of TCF Bank Stadium, adjacent to:
2221 University Ave Southeast, Minneapolis
