Sarah Chaudhry Talks to ProfileTree Today About What It Takes to Become a Makeup Artist
Singapore, Singapore (PRWEB) October 26, 2013 -- Sarah Chaudhry Talks to ProfileTree in an interview released today about what it takes to become a Makeup Artist in Singapore.
When asked about her inspiration for taking this career, Sarah said, “I've always loved experimenting with colours from a young age. If it wasn't during Art class in school it was with my mother's makeup that I would sneakily play with. Eventually I enrolled myself in a beauty academy here in Singapore and the next thing I knew, I had found my calling.”
As all Makeup Artists point out, Sarah stresses the fact that her busy season is during the summer and early winter as it is wedding season.
Her biggest achievements are “doing makeup for Miss Universe 2011's winner when she came to Singapore… the second would be appearing on the cover of a local magazine. These would be two moments I would have never imagined I would get to accomplish.”
Her best advice to anyone starting a new business is “to take your time and work your way up. Don't forget that success doesn't happen overnight, and you need to be prepared to work really hard.”
Her go to marketing method is social media, “Initially I relied on word of mouth, but with social media gaining momentum, tools like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube have become vital in marketing my brand.”
Ciaran Connolly, Co-Founder of ProfileTree says, “Facebook and other social media platforms are essentially the cheapest and most effective form of getting the word out there about your business”
He also added, “Your work can face challenges if you only rely on referrals and word of mouth, everything is online and so should be your business.”
