Austin Aquarium Gives Away 100 Family Passes to Less Fortunate
Austin, TX (PRWEB) December 15, 2013 -- This week, Austin Aquarium opened its doors to large crowds as families with Annual Passes were allowed to preview the aquarium 10 days before its official opening on December 22, 2013. When asked how he felt about the opening, owner Vince Covino said, “Our staff’s attitude is gratitude, and we would like to give away 100 Annual Family Passes to local families who may be facing a tough holiday season."
"We know there are children in our community who may not have gifts for the holidays. So we are asking local churches and nonprofits to submit a list of up to 10 families who may not be able to afford gifts otherwise," Covino continued.
Local churches and nonprofits are encouraged to contact the aquarium through the Austin Aquarium contact page, http://www.austinaquarium.com/contact.
Covino went on to say, "I know what it feels like to wake up as an eight-year-old and not have gifts under the tree. If the Aquarium can add inspiration and holiday joy to 100 less fortunate families, I feel like we’re fulfilling a big part of our purpose. Our employees are overjoyed at the idea, and it’s been neat to get a glimpse into their hearts as well.
