Simple Catapult Instructions Have Been Released On Kids Activities Blog
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 08, 2013 -- Ever wonder what else to do during hot summer months? Building a simple catapult is both fun and educational. Build it indoors and take it outdoors to let the kids have a blast. The catapult idea and over 50 summer activities for kids have been published on Kids Activities Blog.
Building a catapult for kids can make one the coolest Mom or Dad on the block. The instructions are easy and the materials are items found around the house. Materials needed are 3 cardboard tubes, a wooden or plastic spoon, 4 elastic bands and lots of fun ammunition such as pom poms, marshmallows, or scrunched up paper balls.
Form a triangle shape stack of tubes. Fasten the tubes together with elastic bands at each end. Follow the instructions to fasten the wooden spoon in the center of the tube stack with the third elastic band. Ready is the simple catapult. Let the kids have fun launching soft items across the dining room table. Let them practice shooting targets.
Take the catapult outdoors to play additional fun catapult games. Record the catapult launches with chalk in the driveway or draw targets on the sidewalk using spray paint or chalk.
Other fun summer activities for kids include making cool fizzing sidewalk paint, building a CD hoover craft, using damaged pool noodles to make cool art, creating all sorts of fun art and games from items found in the recycling bin, decorating the yard with balloon people, and getting muddy by making dirt soup with the kiddos.
