Hugely Successful No. 9 Restaurant Transforms into No. 9 Restaurant and Culinary Inn
Millerton, NY (PRWEB) July 08, 2013 -- Taryn and Tim Cocheo announce the expansion of their Millerton, NY No. 9 Restaurant to the No. 9 Restaurant & Culinary Inn. The Cocheo’s hugely successful No. 9 Restaurant will now encompass an Inn as well, making this not only a culinary destination for a sublime meal, but also for a quick getaway for overnights, weekends and vacations.
No. 9 Restaurant has enjoyed wonderful critical reviews, along with the loyalty of locals and patrons willing to travel for an opportunity to have dinner at this destination eatery offering local, fresh ingredients throughout the year. The Zagat Guide, which awarded the restaurant a rating of 27 (extraordinary to perfection), is uncharacteristically effusive in its praise of this gem noting, “… its name is off by one - it should be a 10!”
The Cocheos had been running No. 9 out of the Simmons Way Bed and Breakfast for several years. When Inn owners Jay and Martha Reynolds decided to retire, the success of the restaurant certainly enhanced the appeal of the Inn and it was a logical next step for the couple to take over the Inn.
With new ownership came a new direction as the young couple strove to create an atmosphere to reflect their own interests and personalities. The Cocheo’s have worked diligently to update the interior, expand restaurant seating and take excellent care to indulge their guests’ culinary appetites. With the name change, the couple is diving even further into their culinary roots, offering cooking classes for guests, ‘Foodie’ Weekend Packages and Special Tasting Dinners. Of course, all done with Tim and Taryn’s Local Farm to Table values as the vanguard of every decision.
Food has always held a certain reverence for Chef Tim Cocheo, a benefit of growing up watching his Croatian immigrant grandparents merge meals and family into one. Says Cocheo, “My grandparents cultivated their own fruit and vegetable gardens, made their own wine and made sure family was the center of all of it, from the family garden to the family meals.” These young experiences prepared Tim for his life-long pursuit of local, fresh ingredients and fueled his obsession for superior cuisine.
No. 9 Restaurant and Culinary Inn is located at 53 Main Street, Millerton, NY 12546. The restaurant is open Tuesday – Saturday, 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sundays for Brunch and Dinner. For reservations at the restaurant or Inn, please contact proprietor Taryn Cocheo at 518.592.1299 or email taryn(at)number9millerton(dot)com.
