2014 CNP Award Winners Revealed

Orlando, Fla. (PRWEB) May 21, 2014 -- Two European companies with common ancestry topped the list of honorees at the 2014 CNP Awards. Adyen and WorldPay, e-commerce acquirers and processors based in Amsterdam and London respectively, each garnered two Judges Choice awards. Adyen was chosen by the panel of five judges as the Best E-Commerce Platform/Gateway and the Best Alternative Payment System. WorldPay was awarded Judges Choice honors in the Best PSP and Best CNP Program Outside the U.S. categories. Both companies grew out of European e-commerce processing pioneer Bibit—WorldPay acquired the Dutch startup in the mid 2000s when it was part of RBS and executives from the company comprise Adyen’s core management team.

Five other companies won Judges Choice awards including ThreatMetrix, which walked away with the honor in the Best Overall Fraud/Security Solution category. The Judges Choice awards were chosen by a panel of five experts from a record pool of 75 nominees.

And, as has been the custom since the Awards’ inception in 2012, CardNotPresent.com opened up each category to an online vote to determine the Customers Choice. There were no multiple award winners in the Customer Choice, nor did any Judges Choice winners take home a Customer Choice award.

The CNP Awards were handed out at a special celebration that took place during the CNP Expo at the Omni Orlando Resort in ChampionsGate, Fla. CardNotPresent.com CEO Steve Casco, who handed out the awards to the honorees, noted the how growth of this year’s event has mirrored the industry at large.
