Titration Joins LabX Single Laboratory Software Platform for Improved Data Integrity and Time-Saving Analysis
Schwerzenbach, Switzerland (PRWEB) June 19, 2014 -- METTLER TOLEDO adds titration as the latest instrument family on the LabX platform which already supports: balances, melting point instruments, Quantos weighing solutions, density meters and refractometers. LabX software offers a unique approach by being accessible from both the instrument and a computer, validation and compliance, both using a single uniform operator interface.
Using different software to control different laboratory instruments is time consuming and inefficient. METTLER TOLEDO has streamlined this process with LabX, providing the convenience of a centrally managed software system that controls several different instruments. With one database, all users can access the same methods, sample series, results, and more, whether at the instrument or using a remote computer.
LabX builds systems to suit individual needs. The flexible workbench window can be organized according to individual requirements showing only those components necessary for the task, with each user able to design a unique workbench for different instruments.
Analyses can be automated, tracked and altered from either the instrument itself or from any LabX connected PC. This allows users to start a sample series at the instrument and move on to other important tasks at the desk. Then, simply open the relevant workbench from the PC and access the earlier analysis. When away from the office or laboratory, use LabX mail to stay informed of the latest results or to receive a tailored message when the end of a series is reached or a result is out of specification.
Existing clients will already be familiar with the concept of One Click®. LabX uses the same concept and allows shortcuts to be created providing quick and easy access to the most frequent analyses, from either the PC or the instrument. With the task scheduler, start tasks automatically, e.g. so that Karl Fischer pretitration is already completed when arriving in the lab.
Ultimate weighing efficiency and security is gained with new SmartSample™ using RFID technology. All information is automatically added to the RFID chip on the sample beaker ensuring that sample ID and weight are correctly allocated, avoiding any transcription or ordering errors. Analysis is further optimized by using LabX SmartCodes™ to automatically select the correct method. LabX will automatically determine the appropriate method for each sample by reading the information on the corresponding barcode or RFID chip. Load samples that require different methods and start the entire analysis with just One Click.
METTLER TOLEDO`s software verification or validation services will help to ensure compliance with regulatory standards or that quality management standards are met. LabX offers a modular licensing approach to meet individual requirements today and in the future.
