Magenta, LLC Hires New Manufacturing Manager
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- Magenta, LLC, a Chicago-based, woman-owned plastic injection molding company, has named Chris Knox as the new Manufacturing Manager. Magenta produces closures, containers, components, and drinkware to various markets, including food and beverage, healthcare, car care, household products, and laboratory and research.
“Chris has more than 20 years of solid operations and manufacturing experience that will be an asset to our team,” said Frank Ross, Vice President of Operations at Magenta. “We are confident he will be able to help us as we continue to deliver on our corporate mission of ‘customer satisfaction through continuous improvement.’ ”
Knox is a Chicago native that comes to Magenta from CompX Security Products where he served as Plant Operations Manager with management responsibilities over three Divisions and supervision responsibilities for 235 employees. There, he utilized his leadership skills and lean techniques to successfully increase service levels and plant efficiency while reducing scrap. He is an accomplished results-driven change agent with a strong focus on customer quality. Chris also previously served as Production Manager with multi-plant responsibility at Hu-Friedy Manufacturing in Chicago where he led the three-shift operation and initiated a “Train the Trainer” program. As the Manufacturing/Project Manager at XDX Innovative Refrigeration, he reported directly to the president and led the design and production teams in reducing operational and raw material costs by 25%. He is also a proven leader in training, motivating, and mentoring plant staff, and has an Industrial Engineering degree and an MBA.
“My goal is to provide my team with the tools needed to be successful in their jobs,” Knox said. “This will consist of removing road blocks, providing training, leading, and counseling, in addition to increasing manufacturing efficiency.”
Knox resides in Schaumburg. In his free time, he enjoys coaching, traveling, baseball, and photography.
