Gannett Fleming Acquires Electrical Design-Build Contractor: Two firms join forces to create a powerhouse team of electrical design and construction
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) August 14, 2014 -- Gannett Fleming has acquired the business of Innovative Engineering, Inc., an electrical design-build contractor doing business as IETC and headquartered in York, Pennsylvania. Effective August 11, the business is operating as IETC, a Gannett Fleming Company, and will join the 2,000-person strong international consulting, design, design-build, and management firm based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
“Joining forces with IETC expands our ability to meet the ever-increasing demand for single-source contracting,” said Robert M. Scaer, P.E., vice chairman of the board and senior vice president of Gannett Fleming Affiliates, Inc. “Together we are well-positioned to offer clients a full suite of electrical engineering, procurement, and construction services for turnkey projects.”
IETC serves industrial, government, commercial, religious, and institutional clients in the mid-Atlantic. The company delivers breadth and depth in construction, engineering, preventive maintenance and service, as well as electrical testing for transformers, high voltage cables, switchgear, circuit breakers, and power quality disturbance resolution.
While the 24-person IETC team adds even more strength to Gannett Fleming’s capabilities, this acquisition also enables IETC to tap into the talent, resources, and support of Gannett Fleming’s global network of more than 60 regional offices. “Now we can provide clients easy access in multiple locations, and we have more resources to meet their challenges and evolving needs,” said William N. Luddy, P.E., president and founder of IETC. “Our combined experience and customer-focused cultures provide the expertise that owners need to improve facilities and save money, time, and maintenance.”
As a Gannett Fleming company, IETC will continue operations from its York office, and all contact information will remain the same. There will be no immediate changes in project management or technical staff on existing projects, and Luddy remains as president.
