Amanda Shi Debuts her Premiere Collection for Spring 2015 Spotlighting "Uninterrupted Femininity"
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 04, 2014 -- AMANDA SHI launches her namesake collection for the Spring 2015 season showcasing a variety of sexy tops and dresses with a combination of vintage inspiration and glamorous up-to-date attitude. Precisely tailored for perfect fit in fine silks with leather and lace details, this breathtaking new brand is ready for its close up in vivid and cinematic black and whites. “It’s about femininity uninterrupted,” says Amanda. “You can see a stylistic line I drew from all the way back to the silent film era to the 21st century in celebration of women’s eternal beauty and strength.”
Los Angeles native Amanda Shi comes from a family with deep ties to fashion and clothing manufacturing facilities in China. Her career started at age 24 when she created a line that sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Henri Bendel and Fred Segal. In 2003 she introduced a well-received label of organic bamboo clothing with a freestanding store in West Hollywood. She went into a hiatus when she met and married American Rag founder Mark Werts, spending the following years traveling and nurturing a family. But Amanda’s love for fashion would not remain dormant for long. Along the way she was carefully developing ideas for a new brand and diligently putting together all the elements in place. Finally, the Amanda Shi Collection is ready to be unveiled!
The pieces, named after iconic women from the golden age of Hollywood, boast a mix of softness and fashion edge. Norma is a silk habutai blouse featuring original print details reinvented from romantic silk scarves. Anita A and Anita B tops are like two sides of the same coin with the former showing an innocent simplicity and the latter a more daring look. Similarly, Joan A and Joan B tops reflect how any woman can be an ingénue or a vamp. Zelda and Edna offer body-hugging choices with strongly individual looks. Lydia jacket once more highlights the juxtaposition of the tough chick in the motorcycle jacket body without losing the feminine look in the lace details. Colleen is soft, stretchy and comfortable pants for everyday use. And Coco is the little black dress of the new woman - light, flowy and undeniably sexy. The Amanda Shi Collection retails for tops $200-500 and dresses $400-2000 and available at American Rag and high-end specialty stores.
