Russ Little Joins Student Success and Analytics Innovator PAR Framework as Chief Innovation Officer
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- The WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies has announced that Robert R. (Russ) Little has joined the Predictive Analytics Reporting (PAR) Framework as its Chief Innovation Officer. Mr. Little comes to the PAR Framework following two decades of distinguished service at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, where he led large cross functional teams of vendor partners, college partners, and community members in his collaborative efforts to create high quality IPAS (Integrated Planning and Advising System) tools. Little is well known for actively promoting and enabling student success through his efforts focused on technology-mediated academic planning and advising. As Director and Chief Evangelist of the open source Student Success Plan (SSP), he has received numerous grant awards for his pragmatic, practice-based, scalable work. Under his leadership, SSP has been honored with awards including ITC’s Outstanding Student Services Award for Excellence in eLearning and NASPA’s Grand Gold for Early Alerts. Little has also managed numerous projects and teams honored by industry and associations awards, including recognition with Macromedia’s (now Adobe Systems) Higher Education Innovation and MetLife’s Best Practices College awards. He has been recognized three times as a key team member for Sinclair Community College’s "Innovation of the Year" award and was awarded their Student Services Award of Excellence.
“The PAR institutional members, partners and staff are looking forward to having Russ Little join the PAR executive team,” said Beth Davis, Managing Director of the PAR Framework. “Russ has been an active and generous collaborator throughout Sinclair College’s participation in PAR as an institutional member. Russ’ influence is already visible in the PAR Framework tools; we have reaped benefits from his active contribution in PAR’s member-driven student success product workgroups. He has also been a strong proponent of integrating PAR predictive information into IPAS tools. Now that he is moving from institutional partner to PAR organizational leader, we are accelerating integrations with SSP and other early alert tools and LMS platforms. Russ Little is a nationally recognized leader on open, digital IPAS solutions and we are very excited that he is bringing his deep expertise with student success solutions to PAR.”
Little will continue to participate as an active member of the SSP community and with his current IPAS projects.
