Two Women Entrepreneurs Bring Medical Background to New Caring Transitions Business
Billings, MT (PRWEB) October 22, 2014 -- Friends Teresa Otto and Erin BeQuette have a true passion for caring for people. Teresa, an anesthesiologist, and Erin, a nurse, are looking forward to bringing that passion and experience to their new business – Caring Transitions of Yellowstone Valley.
Caring Transitions is America’s largest resource specializing in managing senior relocations, downsizing and estate liquidations. In addition to the organizing, packing and move oversight, Caring Transitions can handle on-site and online estate sales, preparing homes for market and more. Caring Transitions of Yellowstone Valley serves the Billings area, Yellowstone County and Southeastern Stillwater County as well as Carbon, Treasure, Rosebud and Custer counties.
Teresa and Erin, both Montana natives who originally met while working at a local hospital, are excited about opening a business in the community they call home.
“I became interested in Caring Transitions after helping a friend with the liquidation of her father’s estate. It was an emotionally overwhelming, time-consuming task. When I began to think about transitioning to a second career, I researched this type of business and found Caring Transitions,” Teresa said. “I really think there is a need in this community to assist senior citizens with their life transitions and help their families with estate liquidations. I am lucky to live near my mother, who is 85 and living independently, but most families are not so lucky. They are spread across the country and unable to help their elderly parents or family members with tasks like moving into a senior retirement community.”
“By working with Caring Transitions, we can help people make the relocation and resettling process as well as the estate liquidation process – seamless and stress-free,” Teresa added.
Teresa, a US Army and US Army Reserves veteran, will continued to practice medicine as a partner in Billings Anesthesiology part-time as the business is launched. Erin, a mother of two, decided to transition to a career that will allow her to work outside of the hospital, while continuing to have a positive impact on people’s lives and the community.
“We both have a passion for helping people and patient care, but we wanted to have an impact outside of the hospital setting. Caring Transitions is a perfect blend of our backgrounds with a service that many families in our area can truly use. I also enjoy organizing and decorating, so this is exciting from that angle too,” Erin said. “One of the best things about working with seniors is hearing the stories of their lives, but you don’t always have time for that when working in a fast paced environment like the operating room. I’m looking forward to spending more time with the seniors in our community and building relationships with them and their families.”
In addition to the physical services Caring Transitions provides, each Caring Transitions franchisee is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services. The company is trained, bonded and insured. All employees are corporately trained and background checked. This new franchise will bring several new jobs to the area as the business grows.
Caring Transitions is a trusted and highly respected national company leading the way in senior relocation, household liquidations and estate sale management in more than 150 locations across the United States. Caring Transitions is part of the International Franchise Association, the Small Business Association’s Franchise Registry, VetFran and Minority Fran.
