New product launch: Splitter - First ever AC power access anywhere, using internet cables
Portland, OR (PRWEB) December 18, 2014 -- ANTLamp™ has launched The Splitter — a Power over Ethernet device, on crowd-funding site, Kickstarter. The Kickstarter campaign will continue through Jan. 10, 2015. Splitter is an innovative, low-cost solution to bring power and data to your WiFi routers and other networked devices. This is ANTLamp’s newest product, and is a long-sought after capability of using standard Ethernet cables to bring AC power to any place that Ethernet cables go. It also allows powering small devices such as cable modems, security systems, lamps and some small TVs. Another key advantage is the easy and safe installation of this capability and bringing AC power to the 330-footrange of standard Ethernet cables.
Developed by Sultan Weatherspoon, the Splitter is a result of his extensive technical experience and passion for power and networks. The Splitter is the first offering of a planned family of products to be released over the coming years, bringing a full range of power levels for a variety of applications from placement of router at any location to powering workstations and TVs in garages.
“I saw a need to extend power and data on my own network, so I pursued many solutions that led to the Splitter,” said Sultan Weatherspoon, founder of ANTLamp. “I’ve been a tinkerer all my life and for the past several years consumed by finding ways of bringing freedom for power access. I want to bring complete coverage of power and data to undeserved areas.”
The Splitter, fully designed in the United States, provides the breakthrough access to AC power anywhere in your home or office. The Splitter allows users to put their WiFi router in a perfect spot for better network coverage, and enables Gigabit data and AC power using just a single network cable — up to 330ft. This allows all the standard devices to be powered on the spot with no need to be close to a power outlet.
ANTLamp is raising funds for their product through a Kickstarter campaign with special pre-release pricing. The product is targeted for wider release in Q4, 2015 for $105 (MSRP).
