Raptor-12HS Camera Released: The Latest in a Series of Exceptional Motion Capture Cameras
(PRWEB) February 01, 2015 -- Motion Analysis Corporation recently announced the release of the Raptor-12HS, a camera that can reach 300fps with a resolution of 12 mega pixels (MP). Like the Raptor-12 before it, the Raptor-12HS features a new processor, firmware, sensor and ringlight, creating a camera with components manufactured specifically for motion capture capability. These new components, coupled with the combination of superior sensor and camera design, make the Raptor-12HS the flagship camera for Motion Analysis.
With a high-speed electronic pipelined global shutter, each pixel measures 5.5 x 5.5 μm, assuring the highest light efficiency in the industry. The camera’s powerful and accurate greyscale processing enables outdoor capture capabilities that are not possible with inefficient optical filtering methods.
“Our objective in creating the Raptor-12HS was to increase the fps to 300, essentially doubling the speed of the Raptor-12. Customers now have the added flexibility of a higher frame rate provide for very fast captures, which is needed for activities such as sports.” said Shel Fung, Senior VP of Engineering. “This camera will provide our customers unparalleled results in both indoor and outdoor settings. Our customers will also enjoy the convenience offered by software control of camera lens focus and aperture settings”, Fung added.
