PYA Names Marty Brown as New President
Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) February 11, 2015 -- PYA today announced that Marty Brown, Managing Principal of Consulting Services, has been elected by Firm owners to the role of President of PYA, a position formerly held by PYA Co-Founder Ed Pershing. Pershing remains with the firm, assuming the responsibility of Chief Executive Officer, where his focus will be on continued growth and success of the Firm through selected strategic initiatives and tactical actions.

Brown joined PYA in October 1991, immediately making major contributions to its growth and success. Shortly thereafter, he was asked to assume the leadership position of PYA’s physician services group. “In that role, Marty energized employees and garnered the confidence of clients. His positive impact was immediately felt and was reflected in the Firm’s improved services to physicians and related growth,” Pershing said.
Brown most recently has served as Managing Principal of Consulting Services, in which he was instrumental in overseeing major firm initiatives, including initial discussions with Gates Moore leaders that ultimately led to a merger with the Atlanta-based firm in 2012.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Brown is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare. He has worked extensively with health systems, law firms, and physician groups and has performed well over 200 business valuations across industries. He is often asked to testify as an expert witness in litigation support engagements and has provided opinions on more than 1,000 fair market value compensation analyses covering all physician specialties.
