Prime Circa Releases New Version of Award-Winning Notes Plus App Powered by MyScript Handwriting Recognition Technology
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA AND NANTES, FRANCE (PRWEB) February 12, 2015 -- Notes Plus, an industry leading mobile note-taking application created by Prime Circa, is now offering MyScript® handwriting recognition (HWR) technology for free to all current and future app users as of February 2015. The $9.99 app will no longer require an in-app purchase for HWR capabilities.
Since 2011, Prime Circa has incorporated MyScript HWR technology into its Notes Plus app through the advanced MyScript Software Development Kit. While MyScript also offers a quick HWR widget, Prime Circa opted for the advanced, customizable SDK for its app because it offers nearly 100 languages, easy search for handwritten text, as well as accurate recognition of complex equations and shapes, for almost any desktop and mobile operating system.
“With the number of consumers who rely on digital note taking on the rise, our developers are constantly working to improve Notes Plus to make this app the most user friendly on the market,” said Viet Tran, founder of Prime Circa. “We want everybody to have access to the HWR so that it becomes a primary feature of the app. The HWR capability enables us to develop new unique functionalities in Notes Plus and bring better experiences and greater productivity to our users."
Four years of development, 30 version upgrades, three complete overhauls and eight million downloads, Notes Plus is a powerful note-taking tool. It supports features that make digital note taking simple and efficient: digital handwriting, audio recording, document annotation, shape detection, automatic backup to Dropbox, built-in web browser and more. Leveraging MyScript technology, it enables users to conveniently convert handwriting to searchable text.
“Prime Circa is one of many companies proving that 2015 will be the turning point for handwriting recognition technology,” said Paddy Padmanabhan, CEO of MyScript. “It’s no longer a nice add-on feature, as automotive and B2B technology solutions to consumer-focused mobile applications are all integrating this technology as part of their core offering. MyScript will continue setting the industry standard, offering our partners and end users the highest accuracy and best user experience in HWR technology.”
